Notes: On this save file my PC Pokémon in current box count is 119, because I previously inserted a custom sprite in the storage box data at D9B2 in RAM. Depositing more Pokémon interestingly corrupted the NPC sprites in the Pokémon Center.

This may show that you can corrupt more useful addresses without a freeze by depositing/adjusting Pokémon in an expanded PC box just like the expanded party. (Maybe potentially you could corrupt ED38 or CD38 to walk through walls(?)).
