For some reason in the german versions of the original blue and red, when you step on the healing tiles in the lavender town tower, the text of a nurse joy comes up.
I checked other country's releases and nothing like that happened.
(Sorry if you already heard about it.)
I decided to get back into commentary. I'll summarise the glitch here for people who want written documentation/hard of hearing;
This glitch at its core is likely caused by D36C-D corruption (note on most occasions you have to add +5 for non-EN European versions to the addresses so it might really be D371-2); the memory address which controls the text box pointer table's pointer on the current map (so the first text box begins by following that pointer to find the pointer (also two byte) specific to text box 1 at the start. The endianness is lower byte first (little endian?) on both cases. I suppose the purified protected zone text box pointer is corrupted after you heal your Pokémon (because beyond slot 6 Pokémon are extrapolated and are like mirrors of real unrelated data) and that the text happens afterwards. If the start of the text is 0xFF (as it is in German Red/Blue; apparently exclusively though I haven't tried the other versions with this method yet); then the Pokémon Center heal text will appear, because 0xFF is one of the text command codes for features like this (other possibilities are PC anywhere, mart anywhere, a few more with different commands at the 0xFX index numbers).
However, in this case using Super Glitch at a Pokémon Center to corrupt your number of Pokémon to 36 (via the corrupt to 0, deposit to 255, withdraw Pidgey method) is adequate for the corruption. At some point, higher numbers of Pokémon instead freeze the game without showing the text box.
Unfortunately too when setting this up after getting the corrupted party, the game may freeze every few steps, but either using glitch item "il" (available with dry underflow glitch) or swapping the first Pokémon in the party with the second after getting 255 Pokémon is a fix for that.
There is also potential perhaps with getting this to work with the SRAM glitch ("beat Pokémon in 0-00" as it's also called) at the beginning of the game, as it gives you 255 Pokémon to start, and this may have been done before.
The easiest way though without annoying corruption (and corrupted name which will erase the game if you save after most Super Glitches), may be to manually set the text pointer table address location - item 40 and item 40 quantity (low byte is item 40 ; high byte is item 41).
You can also warp to the Pokémon Tower directly instead of unlocking Lavender Town by modifying item 36 quantity.
https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/List_of_locations_by_index_number_(Generation_I) is good for this; the decimal value will be the quantity you want; and you can start with x0 (x256) by swapping the Ultra Ball(?) x0 a few items above, or which ever that item is for you. (If the link is cut off add (Generation I) after clicking to get the right URL. Be careful swapping some items (see http://www.glitchcity.wiki/Expanded bag documentation (Generation I).
Thanks for watching ^^
