I'M BACK

So first thing to get out of the way is that I made that little silhouette in like 3 minutes and it is not representative of my art quality. If you want to see my actual art quality, check out my Timelapses folder!

This is one I have been wanting to release for what feels like AGES, but I needed to add Bass for that, and for that I needed my headphones.

The title is a reference to a song called "EAT YOUR FREINDS" by the very underrated Jhariah, listen here    • Jhariah - EAT YOUR FRIENDS (Official ...   honestly, I would recommend the whole album, it's a masterpiece, my favorite song on it is is "FIRE4FUN"

My favorite line from EAT YOUR FRIENDS is during the bridge (?) where Jhariah says "OVERGROWN INVASIVE WEEDS UNEARTH THE ROOTS AND KILL THE SEEDS". It's such a well written line and it fits with this song so I decided to reference it (much better than my previous title "Mass Deforestation"

Remember the comment of A Puddle In A Prism talking about the six guardians? This song is for one of them: Molli, the Amber Guardian. I won't be getting to much into the character for spoilers, hence the silhouette, rather than a full drawing.

So other than the kick and snare, all the instruments in this song are sound effects related to cutting trees - the "hi hat" is a axe, the main melody and bass are both the same chainsaw sample, and the additional chainsaw sounds are a second one

I'm really proud of the melody on this one, honestly surprised I came up with it looking back

Not much more I can say without SPOILERS, but one more thing: The melody at 41 seconds is a motif that will recur throughout all the Guardian tracks. Get used to it, because the Guardian tracks are what I'm focusing on - and I also have Crimson and Gilded guardian themes cooking up
