I thought it was finally time to merge my two biggest interests - the two things I spend the most time in any given day thinking about (other than CORVID): DELTARUNE, and Brainrot
SIGMARUNE is a DELTARUNE AU by me where rather than the dark worlds, Kris, Susie, Noelle, and others find themselves in the ROT WORLDS, home to the ROTNERS, in a world surrounded by Brainrot, from Banban to Skibidi, and everything in between...
This is the theme for BENJIxScarlett - Chapter 2(?)'s secret boss, a dark puppeteer who forces mangled recreations of the characters of Poppy Playtime, Inside Out, and TADC to sing and dance in his twisted carnival, all while swearing he has a good reason for all of this... (this story was inspired by Lilbittacringe's "BenjixScarlett Analogue Horror Song", which is basically a Benji diss track lol)
The idea is that all the Secret bosses would be Brainrot music creators, satirical or not - Benji, Lilbittacringe, XTRATUNA, SMOR, Horror Skunx, the guys who make FGTeeVee's music, etc.
I don't know how I feel about the fact that this is maybe the longest I've ever spent on a song and also one of the best songs I've released...
I had a lot of fun messing around with the bitcrushed vocals, and trying to make everything sound good even if really stupid, and I think it turned out pretty great! Maybe the start and the Craftycorn bit could be better, but I'm definitely still very happy with this. Although I may be more biased than I even am usually since I'm probably the only person who gets every reference
also you gotta admit I cooked hard with the percussion during THE EUPHORIC MOTIF (Freedom Motif replacement)
