Couch to Photoshop: Episode 14 Removing Red From Skin
In this episode of Couch To Photoshop we will again be revisiting our friend the Hue & Saturation Adjustment Layer panel, but this time we will be using a bit more advanced functionality. The tolerance sliders can be used to select a specific part of the photo we want to edit, and then we can shift that hue easily. We can also mask off the effect even further so we effect only the areas of the skin where we want to remove some redness or make another adjustment. This is an amazing start for those that do a lot of high school senior photography and need to deal with retouching skin with acne. It is also very handy for those that work with newborns, as that market often has to deal with redness, purple arms, and other issues.
If you would like to follow along, here is the website that has the RAW file we will be working with. Please note that they require you to create a free account before you can download the RAW images.
