With the next Mass Effect many years away still, I think it's early enough to speculate on where the story can go from Mass Effect 3/Andromeda. The galaxy is in a rough state in Mass Effect 3, and by it's end is in the process of recovering. This lead me to the idea that maybe we could or should see the return of Commander Shepard in some capacity, be it as a cameo, or as the protagonist, to ideally get back to basics with the story for the next Mass Effect. Assuming Liara in the teaser trailer is anything to go on, we can assume there will be some semblance of returning to the story of the trilogy in some way.

This is just an idea I had that likely won't be picked up by BioWare, but in the off chance they are considering some kind of return for Shepard in ME5, this might be the best way forward for them.
