"Countdown" is one of the United Kingdom's most popular and prolific game shows where contestants try and form dictionary-certified words from a random selection of nine letters. On February 20th, 2021 on Google Meet, I hosted a tag-team version of the game (like they do with "8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown," only more genuine) with Brian Schwartz and Logie Bear on team 1, and TheAdamlee23 and Elliott Schiff on team 2 as determined by a random draw prior to our recording, and Scott Goldiner in Dictionary Corner. To ensure fairness since we are based in America and Logan is in the UK, we made sure to accept American and UK spelling of words from the dictionary.
The way I did "Countdown" was split the game into three rounds. Each round has 4 letters rounds ending with one numbers round (so that each of the 4 players gets to choose letters), with the second round doubling the point value of the letters and numbers rounds and in the third round, point values tripled. Anytime a 9-letter word is found, it's double the value (18 points in round 1, 36 points in round 2, and 54 points in round 3). If the teams are tied at the end of the third and final round, a crucial Conundrum is played to determine the winner. Whichever team wins the game wins $50 a point and goes to the Jackpot Conundrum for a cash jackpot that starts at $10,000 and grows by $1,000 for each day it's not won. At the end of the game, I do ask everyone their opinion of what they thought, feel free to give your feelings on the format in the comments below. Please enjoy my adaptation of Countdown, and a huge hello to all Countdown fans in the UK

DISCLAIMER:
Cash winnings in this video are not real, they are only for entertainment purposes only. And in the credits, although mentioned as a host, I forgot to give a respect to the show's third host Des O'Connor, who passed away last November. May both he and the show's first host, Richard Whiteley rest in peace
