Crappy Videogame Boss Battles: Bowser - Mario's Time Machine (Nintendo Entertainment System) ✔
Crappy Videogame Boss Battles: gotta love them! Featuring King Bowser from Mario's Time Machine, Nintendo Entertainment System version. There is no real Bowser boss battle in the Super Nintendo version, which all the more begs the question why there is a boss battle in the first place. For an educational game no less.

So why does King Bowser for Mario's Time Machine a Crappy Videogame Boss Battle? It's the only boss in the NES version, but it's a big anti-climax in a game that is underwhelming for many expected this to be more of a Mario game. Like Jaws in the game with the same name, Bowser can't hurt you. At all.
In Mario's Time Machine, getting touched by an enemy will simply make Mario crouch for a second. You can simply just stand in one place and do nothing. The game won't penalise you in any way. Jumping on Bowser's head will briefly make him retreat into his spiky shell, but contact will do the exact same thing. Just stand in one place, and jump on Bowser three times to win to save Yoshi.
Mario's Time Machine may be a somewhat harsh inclusion for Crappy Videogame Boss Battle, as it's an education game. However, there is still a large platforming element within the game, and a final boss battle was included in the NES version, which was excluded in the SNES version. Bowser can't do anything to seriously hurt you, and acts as a boss battle needed to finish the game. Hell, even the final door leading to this room is a greater challenge. A total of three history questions out of a set number is picked at random to answer correctly to get to Bowser. In the SNES version, is was about making the correct decisions to stop Bowser from escaping and getting a bad ending.
