Crash Bandicoot 1 (N-Sane Trilogy) - Game Select Menu & Prologue
(Okay, first off, YouTube gave me a thumbnail for this video that looks... pretty suspect, here!)
To start off the N-Sane Trilogy, I'm gonna play through this series' very first game. Compared to its two sequels, Crash 1 benefited the most to this Remaster Plus' bells and whistles, though this game still remains the hardest of the trio, and in some cases, even HARDER than the original Crash 1!
--------------
On Cortex Island, somewhere in New Zealand, southeast of Australia, a diabolical plan takes place. Dr. Neo Cortex, mad scientist and main antagonist, captures the animals of his island and the two other islands near it. He uses them in his latest creation: The Evolvo-Ray.
With the Evolvo-Ray, the Doctor transforms and anthropomorphizes the animals into supernatural beings that can think and behave like people while still being animals. Cortex plans to use these animals in his Cortex Vortex, to turn them into his super soldiers to help him take over the world.
Assisted by his lab partner, Dr, Nitrus Brio, Cortex finds a bandicoot and uses him in the Evolvo-Ray. He then moves him on to the Cortex Vortex. N. Brio hesitates on it because the vortex wasn't tested, and they both didn't try to learn from their past failures. Cortex uses it, anyway, as he plans to have this bandicoot lead his evil animal army.
The bandicoot experiment predictably failed and got loose, and became what is now known as Crash Bandicoot. Cortex tried to recapture him and work on him again, but instead, he chased Crash out of a window, where the bandicoot fell into the ocean.
Cortex decided to forget about him and experiment on his girlfriend, Tawna, instead. In the original version, her arms are pinned by two Lab Assistants, but in this Remaster+, she actually managed to swing a punch a one! She tries to make her escape from their, but then 4 more surround her...
So once again, Crash Bandicoot must travel through 3 different islands and their areas, defeat Cortex, save Tawna, and smack around anyone in his way with his Tasmanian Devil-like spin attack.
