Crash Bandicoot 2 (N-Sane Trilogy) - Game Select Screen & Prologue Level
Crash 1 HD was simply one-third of the entire package N-Sane Trilogy has to offer. While there's still quite a bit more videos I can make out of that game (including the Stormy Ascent DLC level and all of the game's new Time Trials), I wanted to move on to Crash 2, which gives back all of Crash's Circle button techniques, and also makes him move and jump slightly faster and higher.
--------------
The story of this game follows after the regular ending of Crash 1, where Crash defeat Dr. Neo Cortex on top of one of his blimps and send him plummeting back down to the lower section of his own island while Crash and his bandicoot girlfriend Tawna fly off into the sunset, living happily ever after (for a while that, is. I think Tawna later broke up with Crash for Pinstripe).
Unbeknownst to them, Cortex survived his fall, and ended up in an unknown cave in his island that contained Crystals. He took one of them, making it a Master Crystal, and then spent a whole year to recreate his Cortex Vortex machine into a massive spaceship.
After Dr. Nitrus Brio quit being his assistant, Cortex found a new one in Dr. N. Gin, who wondered how Cortex could use their new Cortex Vortex's laser without any operative on Earth to find the remaining 25 Slave Crystals needed to power the laser alongside the Master Crystal. Cortex decided that it was time to rely on an enemy to get the job done rather than a friend.
In a new rainforest, Crash was taking a nap next to his little sister, another bandicoot girl named Coco. Suddenly, while Coco was watching Nathan Drake from Uncharted 4 play Crash 1, Coco's laptop battery goes dead and makes her have a very brief fit. She cutely shoves her big brother awake and has him get a new battery back home.
--------------
This doesn't last too long, as Crash is soon taken into the Warp Room, where Cortex speaks to him through a hollogram, begging for his help to save the world by gathering 25 Crystals. For now, Crash to gather the first 5 before he can move on to the next Warp Room and continue finding Crystals from there.
The Load/Save wall no longer functions for those, as it is not there anymore. You can just Load and Save by pressing the L2 button, but remember the Auto-Save!
