Time to duke it out with the mad scientist. You'll be fighting him atop a balloon,with a nice scenery of the island burning. Dr. Cortex has 3 types of shots,the purple shots he fires right at you,the blue ones that have patterns,and the green ones. The green ones can be spun back at Cortex,or built up to hit him in groups. He'll try rapid fire when his health is low,so just keep your eyes peeled. Compared to Gem collecting,this guy is a cinch. The credits rll after he's beaten,but there's 1 more thing to do. If you enter The Great Hall stage with all the Gems,a path of gems will lead you to a new exit,where the female bandicoot awaits,and they escape together. You then get to see a little epilogue for all the enemies in the game. That almost didn't feel worth the effort,but oh well. Maybe I'll do Cortex Strikes Back in the future. Until then,till next time.
