Crash Bandicoot. For a while, he was Sony's mascot. Since all the companies needed a mascot. And his games were popular enough to warrant that attention. As well as getting this remake for the original trilogy. A remake I've had for a while... but like the original games, it didn't really appeal to me. The design of it isn't something I'm a fan of. Having the character run toward or away from the camera leads to issues of not being able to properly judge the distance. Which I had some issues with in this.
However, I can see the appeal of this game. In particular, the challenge aspect to try to collect 100%. There's unlockables, and time trials. Lots of things to do, that would feel good to earn. As contract to, say, Spyro the Dragon - same console generation, also got a recent remake, but that game feels more like a checklist rather than actual challenges.
