I'm NOT 100%'s this one. At least not on stream. It would just be an exercise in frustration that nobody wants to watch. And don't get me wrong, the challenges in this game - getting all the boxes, in particular without dying, or trying to beat time trials - are wonderful extra features to have. They will help drive the people who really enjoy this game to get better at the game, to improve their skills. And you will improve going after them until you're able to complete them.

The problem is... I don't like this game. I don't like the core design of it. The sections with the over the shoulder running to and from the screen platforming sections. I really don't even like some of the choices in their more 2D side-scrolling platforming sections. There's parts that are just bafflingly bad, in my opinion. Invisible walls to prevent you from reaching portions they tease you with. One section where you have to jump across planks on a bridge that are invisible until you're standing on them. That's inexcusable. I'm also not the biggest fan of boss fights where you have to wait around for them to give you an opening. Especially in a game where you die in one hit, becuase it means the rest of the fight has to be fairly simple, and thus, slow and boring. Those types of boss fights are a time waster.

There's also a fair bit of jank in this. Several times I've been pushed off things that I should have been able to reach. Or one boss fight it kept being a crap shoot whether or not I could hit it. I did find a more consistent method finally, but there were a frustrating number of failures reaching that. Failures that were time consuming because it was a boss that you had to wait for openings on. Sigh.

I don't like this game. But I can see why it was created, and I can see the appeal. And I'm glad it was remade in this collection. But I'm also glad I'm done with it. ....Even if I'm probably not. And there are still two more. -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/the_nametag
