"Avocado Meat Rolls"
■Ingredients (Serves 2)
・16 slices thinly sliced pork belly
・1 avocado
・Potato starch (to taste)
・1 teaspoon salad oil
☆Seasonings
・1 tablespoon sake
・1 tablespoon mirin
・1 teaspoon sugar
・1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
■Procedure
(1) Make a slit in the avocado and separate it into two halves by rotating it. While holding a kitchen towel over the avocado, use the blade of a knife to remove the pit. Peel the avocado and cut it into four radially, cut-side down, into quarters.
(2) Spread two slices of pork lengthwise, slightly offset from each other, and lightly coat with potato starch. Place one avocado on top and roll. Repeat to make a total of 8 pieces.
(3) Add salad oil to a frying pan and heat over medium heat. Place the meat rolls in the pan, end-side down. Cook over medium heat, turning occasionally, until golden brown all over. Lightly wipe off any excess oil, cover, and simmer over low heat for 1-2 minutes.
(4) Add the ☆ ingredients and simmer over medium heat until glossy.
