Creature Caster: The Siren and the Berserker, no longer limited!
So for those of you lucky to attend big cons like Adepticon, a lot of companies have special limited models only available there. The Siren here was one such model, and I tried my damnedest to track her down, and never once was I able to find one on the after market.
With all the major conventions canceled for who knows how long, Creature Caster offered up both the previously released Siren along with a new model, the Berserker, one of the Patriarchs of Onslaught, in very limited quantities.
Suffice to say their website completely crashed for well over an hour plus as everyone besides me tried to rush it to get the limited stuff.
As a gesture of goodwill, Creature Caster decided to have both models as part of their regular catalog rather than be limited editions from here on out. Yay!
So- how are they? Obviously the Berserker is quite similar to Skull Taker. You can build it without the cape, but the cape won't be removable due to the placement of the horns on his back. Make your choice prior to gluing it, I'd say. Otherwise everything fits nice and obvious. The horns at first were a bit tricky, but they all match up to the overall shape of each indentation pretty well.
The Siren was a bit more complex and fiddly getting her built. I put one of her arms on incorrectly but I don't think it matters. I started with the legs first, as they need to notch in to each other. From there I built up the human arms with the lute, and put a bit extra glue to keep the instrument in place.
The big giant claw was the only piece that really confused me, and I had to luck online. Sadly the directions showed the arms as one piece whereas it's actually two, plus the two extra claw fingers, which is where I ran into the error.
As always, DRYFIT EVERYTHING FIRST!
