I like weird monsters. Creatures from other dimensions tend to fit that description pretty easily.
That's what the ethereal creatures are in Deep Wars and Shadow Sea. Big nasty baddies from across the other side.
Parts are large and easy to work with, as Gothagga is a pretty big model. I was a bit worried about it tipping over but the resin is light and it's pretty well balanced on those tentacles surprisingly.
After building it, I like the wispy smoke that Gothagga seems to be materializing into our dimension from. A cool touch.
A lot of the pieces have some obvious gaps. It could just be my copy depending upon where in the life of the mold it was. Not a huge issue as I can fill those in and smooth them over.
If you are worried about mold lines and have access to a 3D printer you can actually just print it yourself, along with a whole slew of other funky and fun models from the Antimatter catalog. Or get one cast in resin like me via their webstore or by backing one of their kickstarters!
There actually is a campaign occurring right now and they are working on making all sorts of new models as well as having this one available-
