Crimson Wastes Second Attempt - Returnal #10
I find my way through Biome 1 until I can find the gate to Biome 2 again, and make a second attempt at it. At least the game is kind enough to guide me there with a waypoint.

I manage to ascend the mountain.
Unfortunately while fleeing a turret I end up in a fight with an advanced giant cube flier.
At least I'm learning to open the barred gates.
But I still have the Crimson Key. So I can just keep trying.
I'm really glad I don't have to work my way to fight Phrike again.
That really changes the nature of the challenge of this game.
I notice that the open arenas make things not so constrained for the fights. I haven't run into anything awful like the pair of Sun Zombies that I hate fighting in Biome 1. Not a lot of bullet hell in biome 2 yet, except for the turrets.
I do not like the Wide Maw shotgun at all. Without adrenaline to back it up, it's doesn't do enough damage. I really like the Hollowseeker. And the Carbine with Rising Pitch.
By the way, what's that item in the Helios cargo hold that I should remove?
I tried a few more runs after this one. The Severed is by far my most hated enemy here. I have the hardest time with him. Next is the Advanced Giant Cube flier while I'm ascending the mountain. There is another Severed right after that encounter. I have yet to get past it. My favorite gun continues to be the Hollowseeker, as long as it has a decent damage stat, and especially when my adrenaline is up. When I can make it all the way to the boss, die or not, I'll upload another video.
