The New Dawn is built on Unreal Engine 5. I tested the game on GTX 1060, which is significantly weaker than GTX 1080 listed in the minimum requirements. By default, the game launches in DirectX 11 mode on GTX 1060. DX11 lacks several graphical features present in DX12, which allows GTX 1060 to deliver playable framerate. However, DX11 looks noticeably worse compared to DX12 at the same in-game settings - especially when it comes to lighting quality. In addition, DX11 suffers from issues like missing or transparent textures, so Iβm not sure the developers considered DX11 a fully supported mode. On the other hand, DX12 is much more demanding, and even with TSR: Low, the frametime is inconsistent. I guess this issue is mainly caused by lack of VRAM on GTX 1060.
P.S: A big thanks to Bloober Team for providing the game key.
