๐ฅ Silent Hill f โ RX 6600 XT 8GB | FPS Test & Performance Benchmark | 1080p | 1440p | Unreal Engine 5 | Optimized Settings
Silent Hill f is built on Unreal Engine 5 and features shader precompilation. However, the process is extremely fast - only about 10-20 seconds and clearly incomplete. Because of this, in addition to the usual traversal stutters, there are also shader compilation stutters. I demonstrated this in my video by showing the very first game launch. Even though Ryzen 9 5900X is still a capable CPU, stutters are more noticeable here compared to Ryzen 7 7800X3D.
Overall fps is fairly high for a UE5 title, though in heavy scenes it can drop below 50 fps. Still, the frequent stutters hurt the experience - in fact, Cronos: The New Dawn, despite having a lower average fps, feels smoother thanks to significantly fewer and shorter stutters on this pc config. Cutscenes are locked to 30 fps.
