Shoutouts to Oto for requesting I do a video on this game.

This is basically my first hourish of the early acess title, Crypt of the NecroDancer a rhythm roguelike game, yes you heard me, it combines the elements of both. You move/attack to the beat! But enemy patterns are also key as each enemy behaves differently.

I am NOT great at the game yet but keep in mind I have no dance pad so..Kinda have to use keyboard which isn't as easy, even the selection in the lobby mentions dance pad is easier to get the hang of.

The dungeons are also a bit random too, as you can see in this video I spent time just doing the first two levels of zone 1 but notice how the second time I ran into a new enemy I never saw before.

The game is in Alpha and isn't the biggest, it has some issues and bugs yes but thus far it's very entertaining and for 15 bucks it's hard to go wrong with it since I imagine and believe it will be improved.

Oh and Custom Music is really easy to set up, if you're a nit-picker though you may notice it doesn't exactly require you to move to the beats of custom songs too much but...Well cut them some slack, it's not easy to make such a program anyhow, just glad we do have the custom music choice if we so desire.

The default soundtrack is pretty awesome too though so can't go wrong either way you want to play it.

The story is well, about getting your still-beating heart back from a an Evil Sorcerer.

So yeah, Spelunky meets a Rhythm Game, I say it's worth it! Has hardcore modes and challenge characters too for those who want a harder game.

There is local co-op but no online yet..However an online race mode was planned/rumored.
