I want to mod this early Closed Beta version of CSGO to make it look like this build of CS:GO seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSxl2R5I19A It was shown at Igromir in 2011, and it is probably extremly hard to find (its probably not even on the internet!). But, I ran in a bit of a problem, it uses VPK archives to store its files. A VPK archive is a way of easily storing sets of files that are used for storing mods, game files etc. And it cannot be modified, you cant just add a new file in it, you must extract its contents, modify the stuff you want to change, repackage it, and replace the original with your new one, but I tried doing that and it did not work, BUT, I discovered that if you extract the contents of the VPKs into the csgo folder (and delete the VPKs afterwards), the game would sort of run of the folders entirely! But, as you can see in the video, the game crashes when it gets to the team selection screen. If you know why, and can help me in making this mod, you can write it down in the comments, and I will give you my Discord so you can DM me there TheTechnoGuy18#3018 .
