Have you ever slowed down on Crash Team Racing, stopped and smelled the roses? No? Me neither. It is absolutely crazy how GORGEOUS this game is. It's easily at open world standards with just a hint more polish.

Heck who needs the polish? After seeing some other recent releases, I'd be happy if they took all these tracks and made some sort of Banjo Kazooie type game from them... but first please tone down some of the brighter ones that are retina searing (Electron Avenue, looking at you!)

Anyways, today we look at Tiger Temple, slowed down, and focusing on all the details that there's no way you'd ever see racing at 155mph (according to Polar Pass). Instead you have to go into a time trial, and just have a look at all the beauitful little details they just stuffed into this game.

Not only is it fun to play, it's pure eye candy as well! Who would've guessed?

I mean I've seen some PS1/PS4 comparisons, but you cannot fathom the sheer crazy beauty in this game.
Oh right, Tiger Temple.

I knew vaguely there were vines and carvings and whatnot all around. I knew there was grass that would slow me down and annoy me as I go from 1st to 6th in the blink of an eye... but (back on topic once again) I had no idea that there were monkeys on the bridge before the shortcut.
Did you?
I knew about the tiger and the chicken chasing each other, but I had no idea that there is a monkey carving with its tongue sticking out at us!

...I need to go... I need to race on over to my consoles and start my engine. Meanwhile I'll also try to appreciate the sweet graphics of the explosions and the beautiful cries of my opponents... Because if I'm not paying attention to the road, I fall in 8th faster than CTR destroyed Mario Kart for me... heh.
