27Longplay of the Uncut version of Culpa Innata, translated from Latin to "Original Sin", a 2007 Point & Click Adventure game, with some unique elements of semi-open world exploration and... uhh... conversation simulator. xD It was developed by Turkish dev Momentum AS, and published by Strategy First, released onto PC in October 19th, 2007. Here is the Steam version of the game, with the Uncut patch from modDB installed, running at 1920x1440 resolution, forced via dgVoodoo, highest possible details. A pretty original and unique type of Point & Click game - it is clearly focused on talking, having conversations, learning new things from witnesses, and just talking overall with friends and coworkers. Puzzles are really a minute part of the gameplay. So, in this game you mainly talk, talk, talk, talk, do some puzzle, then talk and talk again. You are free to explore a sort of semi-open world in the form of the huge Market Centre, where you can go whenever you like, and walk into buildings you are allowed to enter (story triggers). It almost feels like a dating/friend relations simulator, with some crime/detective stuff thrown inbetween, and an extremely interesting Cyberpunk utopian-dystopian universe in the form of the World Union. The gameplay itself isn't very compelling though, as you can imagine talking too much, and doing too little is not the best and safest way to make the gameplay compelling. A walking simulator point & click, before there were any walking simulators.

Culpa Innata takes place in the year 2047 in the elitist, utopian city of Adrianopolis, part of a capitalist one world government called World Union, composed of most of the major First World countries, where disease and felonies have been nearly eliminated. World Union's value system is similar to the society established in Aldous Huxley's Brave New World, creating a certain level of societal expectations based on numerical indices pre-defined in the system that only take into account how much a person accumulates. Like Brave New World, the society is also extremely hedonistic, marriage (or "nuptial contracts" as they are called by the World Union) are obsolete, and relationships are entirely consistent of sexual interest, with multiple liaisons and even emotionless promiscuity, all of these are regarded as healthy relationships. Elements of Objectivism are included with the concept of pro-selfish attitudes, with citizens rated in numerical terms of skillfulness called an HDI (Human Development Index).
The story is centered on protagonist World Union Peace Officer Phoenix Wallis, who is investigating the murder of a fellow World Union citizen in a neighboring "Rogue State" in Odessa. The game features multiple endings, based on the choices and actions of the player.
