Cuphead - Dr Kahl's Robot, Rugged Ridge & Rumor Honeybottoms
12Some more Cuphead. I'm aware that all these Cuphead videos I've been uploading haven't exactly been getting a ton of views, but fuck it. I'm uploading these for myself as much as anybody, so that I've got some kind of Chronicle of my progress through this insanely difficult game.
And insanely difficult Dr Kahl's Robot certainly was, the sheer volume of stuff he throws at you in the first wave of his attack! I've been talking a lot about the difficulty level of this game in the descriptions of my other uploads. It's weird, but I feel I'm sort of getting it now. Yeah, it's mega hard, but it does feel super rewarding as you keep just getting that little bit further in the boss battle until you get the sweet relief of the announcer shouting 'Knockout!'
As well as the robot I've also included a Run and Gun stage (Rugged Ridge) which was also pretty challenging - and the ending reminded me a bit of a level from Rocket Knight Adventures on the Megadrive. I read a few comments on Reddit from people who got stuck on this Run and Gun for literally a month, so I felt a wee bit smug about conquering it in an hour. Charge shot and Roundabout were the winners here, along with the x1 extra HP charm.
I've also included another boss Rumor Honeybottoms, who was also difficult, but nowhere near as tough as the Robot.
