Custom Catastrophe

Hello and welcome to the things

This is an update on the progress of an interactive installation that I will be presenting at Nuit Blanche North in Huntsville, Muskoka, Ontario on July 22 between 8pm and 2am.
I have now added many different custom objects (created using Blender) and each of them has their own note (frequency).
You can see at the end of the video how all of this activity is used to generate a final 'painting'. These of course will be available in the BlobShop. Some are already ready.

I am using OpenFrameworks for the programming environment (first time using this), Blender for the 3D models (just getting started with Blender still), SuperCollider for the sound (love SC), Kinect (also first time using this), and the programming language is C++ (this is also my first C++ project (finally!)).

Next steps: the core algorithm determining when the objects fall - this is the complex system part - I will be using a simple algorithm based on self-organizing criticality. Avalanches. Then to connect the Kinect so people can interact with it.
