Yet another Contra-style side-scroller, Cyber-Lip sticks to the run and gun formula pretty closely. There's not a huge amount to set the game apart from its contemporaries, other than the Neo Geo's trademark high-quality visuals, although the ability to change between different weapons is a welcome addition. The game also features branching paths through the game by way of elevators situated at the end of each round, although choosing the wrong direction can see the player trudging through corridors or sewers that exist purely to pad things out and drain your ammunition.

Cyber-Lip looks pretty good for the time, but visuals aside, it feels fairly unremarkable; not a bad game, but there would be better things to come from SNK's arcade/console.
