Are you a fan of Cyber Punk and aRPGs? I wasn't until I played this. I got this game for free and I will tell you how in the description. But first, What is The Ascent? And is The Ascent worth playing?

First What is the Ascent? he Ascent is an action role-playing game developed by Neon Giant and published by Curve Digital. The game is set in a cyberpunk world where players control a customizable character who must navigate through various levels, complete missions, and fight various enemies. The game can be played solo or cooperatively with up to four players. It was released on July 29, 2021.

The Ascent is fast paced, challenging and much more than I expected it to be with the customized special powers and fast dodge reactions needed to dodge power attacks, and also there was a great use of the terrain and cover to make one think tactically. There are many different gun varieties, enough customization options to feel impactful yet not overwhelming. The world aesthetics were immersive and felt alive with every foray through the town hubs, the voice acting was decent and the quest had story good enough to encourage me to actually care about the outcome. I was pretty impressed by what this game has to offer, and you might too. There were some disappointments however, but they are so minor I am not going to spend any time writing about them. I will discus them in the video.
