Cyrus Soundkey Portable DAC/Amp Review | A Rather British Review
14Cyrus is a premium audio brand based here in the UK and is a legendary name amongst audio enthusiasts. They recently announced details of ‘soundKey’ – a magical plug-and-play USB dongle that houses a uniquely high-quality DAC designed specifically for PC gaming. The DAC (Digital to Analogue Converter) bypasses the cheap and nasty one that features inside most PC’s and essentially draws the audio from your PC digitally before converting to analogue audio to be enjoyed via your headphones.
In short, it’s a very simply plug-and-play device which dramatically transforms the audio quality of your PC headset, delivering hi-res, lossless audio that works with any headset you already own. This is their first gaming orientated audio product and we believe PC players will be stunned by the difference it makes to their gaming audio.
