Today I replace the socketed Dallas clock chip in my Socket 3 motherboard with a replacement I found on Tindie. #retro #motherboard #computer

The replacement worked, but unfortunately the keyboard BIOS chip on my motherboard did not. Still, I would probably recommend this solution to anyone needing to replace an old Dallas 12887a or similar series battery clock chip.

Gollum (aka Smeagol) makes a few appearances to annoy us as I get to work and ultimately fail hard.
