Kiwi UFC star Dan Hooker has made an unhappy return to the featherweight division. well beaten in his clash against hometown hero Arnold Allen in London. In front of a sold out O2 Arena. Englishman Allen triumphed in super quick time. needing less than one round to dispatch Hooker by TKO in the co main event at UFC Fight Night: Volkov vs Aspinall on Sunday (NZ time). It improves Allen's career record to 9 0 in UFC. but this was the biggest scalp to date for the 28 year old. who is ranked No 7 in the featherweight division. Hooker. 32. was returning to the 65.7kg division after spending the past five years in the lightweight (70.3kg) ranks. Trading blows. each fighter briefly dropped to a knee. but the Brit then went about landing punches. With a head kick for good measure. Allen then unleashed on a retreating Hooker. as the referee was forced to step in. in front of a roaring home crowd. It was Hooker's fourth loss in his last five outings. dating back to June 2020.
