It's almost that time. with the release of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 being mere hours away. And while there won't be any live event to see Chapter 3 Season 1 off. there still looks like there will be plenty for players to get their teeth into. Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2: Server Downtime First up. the update has to actually hit the servers. and despite fears that the season may in fact be delayed. in the last couple of hours. Epic Games has confirmed that Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 will launch on Sunday. March 19. Servers will go offline at 7am GMT (12am PT / 3am ET) with matchmaking disabled 30 minutes prior. Epic Games has not stated but the servers will likely be down for two hours. coming back online at 9am GMT (2am PT / 5am ET). Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2: Patch Notes Little is known about the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 update with the developers remaining extremely tight lipped about upcoming features and what theme the season will have. There have been rumours that Chapter 3 Season 2 will be Star Wars themed which is hardly outlandish. Star Wars has had a large presence in the game before and a whole season. perhaps tied into the highly anticipated Star Wars: Obi Wan Kenobi TV series. would be fitting. Additionally. all the previous Fortnite Lightsabers files were recently re added to the game. There have also been a few clues that Doctor Strange is coming to Fortnite. with Benedict Cumberbatch is donning the cape for Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness which is due to hit theatres on May 6. Marvel's superheroes are. of course. also no stranger to Fortnite and it is very likely one or both of these storied universes will be making an appearance in Chapter 3 Season 2. There will obviously be a new Chapter 3 Season 2 battle pass to grind. and likely a new mechanic or two to learn. and no new season would be right without a couple of changes to the map. All of which will be revealed in the next few hours. While the new stuff is still very much in the air. we do know some like bug fixes arriving with Chapter 3 Season 2. all thanks to the Fortnite Trello which the developers use to track and fix bugs.
