I do know that currently on Steam it is slated for a February 2021 release, and that there is currently a demo there.ReviewThere has been a lot of crowding in the rogue lite genre over the last couple years, yet still games like Hades are getting nominated for the best game of year. Dandy Ace somehow flew just under the radar for me, and I wish I hadn't only just learned about it because it is delightful. It's rogue lite elements are carefully designed and well implemented making it's gameplay its brightest spot. It does borrow quite heavily from its predecessors, so verterans of rogue lite games are going to be very familiar with many of the mechanics here. However, I don't see this borrowing as any sort of rip off. Dandy Ace implements these features in its own way, though the real Achilles heel is that Dandy Ace doesn't bring many fresh ideas to the rogue lite genre.
For that reason I tend to think of this game as a tier 2 rogue lite game. It's very well designed, extremely fun, challenging without being unbalanced, and demonstrates exactly what makes rogue lite games good. It will definitely be worth picking up if you have played and liked previous big titles in the rogue lite genre.
