Dap is an action-adventure, pixel art game where you play as a little creature that can recruit other little creatures called Daps (you maybe play as a Dap too, not sure) in an effort to fight the infection that is threatening to destroy their world.

Okay so this was VERY strange at first, the vibe this game set was very very odd, but you can kinda get into it after a bit, and this ended up being pretty fun! Story is very vague and obscure for now, but basically there's an infection, some bad guy wants to take over, and you've gotta fight back.

This is where Daps come in. You can recruit these little guys and have a literal army of them, and you can use them to charge up attacks, open doors, solve puzzles, the lot. They're also pretty cute and creepy little buggers. More cute than creepy, don't worry.

Gameplay was relatively simple, though it may or may not be deepened as you progress. I hope it does, because it was actually pretty fun, and it seems like it has a lot more offer, so I'm looking forward to seeing what that will be.

Visually, it's also quite eerie, but very pretty at the same time. This is another pixel art title, but it's got a very glitch-like aesthetic to it, and I actually really like it. It's like being in the matrix or something.

I didn't pick up too much of the soundtrack, what I heard was very atmospheric and ambient, which definitely fit the vibe of this game.

So yeah, Dap was fun! Strange, but fun, and interesting, which I think is what the dev(s) was (were) going for here. This one's going on my wishlist, you can do the same down here!
