20This episode is an unbridled display of competence quite unlike anything seen in any previous Dark Souls Sunday. It's remarkable what a little rest and relaxation can do.
We begin our journey in the Iron Keep, unlocking that elusive third bonfire (which I had, until now, not known about) - allowing us far easier access to the Old Iron King. From there we just have to kill a gigantic demon and embrace its great soul before heading down... Below.
The Gutter is Dark Souls 2's answer to Blight Town and the Tomb of the Giants all rolled up in one toxic dungheap, and it's a nerve-wracking experience at the best of time.
Let's hope that our trusty Heide Knight Sword and torch are enough to beat back the darkness as we make our way to the Black Gulch to fight the Rotten - because if they're not, well... I guess we're done for?
