The Executioner's Chariot is one of (if not the) best designed bosses in Dark Souls 2. The first part of the fight demands mobility. Taking out the necromancers without getting caught by the chariot or the encroaching skeletons is not simple. Even after navigating the necro-gauntlet, the true fight begins after removing the chariot.

For SL1, I'd recommend skipping the second phase of the fight with some delicious cheese.
