The Old Dragonslayer is a proper boss fight. He has numerous familiar moves and a few with new twists. He fights the same as good ol' Ornstein, except now it's much easier without his fat buddy to back him up. For SL1 characters I recommend using firebombs to deal the majority of the damage. Other characters have a much easier time since most of the Dragonslayer's attacks can be blocked with a good shield.
Just watch out for the dark butt stomp.
