The player can acquire this weapon albeit rarely at the secret location of Archdragon Peak. If you do not know how to get to the peak, please look up one of my other videos in the search bar of my channel. if you are on gamefaqs.com check the video section at the end of this guide.

This weapon is original because it comes built in with lightning and magic damage. These damages do not scale with any of your statistics. The weapon can be infused with a lightning gem for example. This will give extra lightning damage and give a rank of B to faith scaling. It would probably then be ideal to put some points into faith. I currently play this weapon with a 40/40 strength, dexterity specialization.

The weapon is pretty good but it does lack a ton of flair. It has a rather simple move-set and also has the overused stance skill. I think the best combination you can get out of the weapon is 3 hits, I could be wrong being a bit new to weapon breakdowns for this game.

If the weapon is not infused with any type of gem you can buff it with resins or carthus rouge among other consumable items. The weapon will at base deal three types of damage. Purely physical, lightning, and magic. If you infuse it with a dark gem, fire gem, or chaos gem you can get 4 types of damage if not more on the weapon. This makes it an elemental jack of all trades, which is pretty cool and very useful.

Do not underestimate enemies weak against lightning and other elements in the game, such as magic or fire. Even resistances to bleed and frost should not be overlooked, although non- applicable with this weapon the Drakeblood Greatsword.

My Drakeblood greatsword is currently at level +9. I will not be going higher. My overall reason is that the weapons move-set is slightly too common/simplistic for my tastes. I do find it useful and love the base elemental damage. It also can be quite potent PvE and possibly PvP which I have untested at the moment.

The weapon is a greatsword and is one of the quickest greatswords in the game. It has one of the shortest ranges/radii. However, this is made up for by quicker attacks and the extra elemental damage bonuses. Overall I recommend the collector to get it or the 100% completionist. For speed-runs, this is probably a no go. It is also not suggested player vs player ( PvP ). If you want to mess around with something cool against enemies or bosses weak to lightning then it's up for grabs.
