I get that invaders are scary but being next to a bonfire means there is nothing to fear in dying, all your souls will be there next to it should you die and embers are very easy to replace. So it makes no sense to me when someone refuses to stand and fight. When they refuse to use an R1 attack no matter what though I can only assume that their controller is broken. This is Dark Souls, how could they not use the R1 button?

Note: Technically the host did use one R1, 0:27 (chime in right hand casts spells with R1), but that only adds to the insanity of trying understand this invasion so we'll ignore it.
