Dark Souls 3: Backstab Robbery?! I Demand a Judge! (Raw Clip)
4Summon/Invader Entry/Exit Lag is something that's kind of unique to Dark Souls 3, it's very much unintended but yet it's incredibly annoying. The length of time that summon entry/exit lag can have leads to many situations where either side can potentially delete the other or escape something they shouldn't had been able to, all without ever seeing a single animation. It can even create a situation where a backstab animation plays but no damage is rendered and not because it was a backstab cancel (where both sides backstab each other at the same time).
Sidenote: While it might appear that I was willing to hit my co-invader at 0:38 my intention was to backstab the host. I however did not kill him anyways, the lightning particle effects show that it was the R1 spam from the phantom that got him in the end. Although it is possible I played a role in that death anyways when I killed the first phantom, seeing as how there was a light amount of summon exit lag at that moment but that might have also come from the Aldrich spawning in at that moment as well.
