7The number of times I fight someone who has a small parry shield and a straight sword is incredibly high. When I see the target shield, buckler, or small leather shield without any behavior discipline (just ganking, turn and burns, and random/spammed parries) it's pretty telling that they're just trying to imitate their favorite parry kong idols. This particular individual clearly had invested highly into vigor and vitality to maximize his defenses while relying on crits to do the rest. Too bad for him he seemed new to fishing or very in-experienced on how to actually use the smaller techs, just something he saw YouTubers/Streamers do so he's copying them.

This ultimately allows me to flip his own playstyle against him with me being the one doing turn and burns. Which in turn causes him to play right into one last parry.
Crit fishing is very largely about understanding behavior patterns and quickly adapting. Monkey see, monkey do behavior may work to do the right thing accidentally in the moment but it too is a behavior an opponent can exploit.
