BED OF CHAOS

Health: ???
Souls: 60,000

Strategy:

-Boss of Lost Izalith; thought to be the Witch of Izalith that attempted to recreate the First Flame.

-This boss isn't fought normally, (it's a puzzle boss) instead you have to attack two glowing roots on it's far left and right, which then exposes its core. As each core is destroyed, the boss gains news attacks and starts destroying the floor of the arena. Once both cores are destroyed, you'll have to go after its final weak spot at the center of the beast. It'll completely destroy the floor infront of it, so you'll have to make either an accurate run or a well-timed jump to get to the root hanging over the abyss and head inside the monster. Destroy the roots and kill the Chaos Bug deep within to destroy this thing for good.

-Its attacks are almost uniformly devastating, especially once you've destroyed both cores. As each core is destroyed, a strange fiery spirit will emerge from the Bed of Chaos, growing a new arm for each destroyed core.

-Best strategy is to hug the wall as closely as you can manage to reach the cores. It's kind of a crap shoot if you'll make it or not, as the boss's attacks are chaotic, wide reaching and many are almost impossible to time or dodge in the middle of everything else.

-If one of the cores is destroyed, then it remains destroyed if you die and return to the boss, so it's entirely possible to whittle the boss down by destroying a core, dying then coming back.

-You can also destroy a core then just quite and restart, as it's easier to get from the center of the arena to each core than it is going from core to core.

-You're not safe inside the tunnel under the boss, it can still hit you with the firestorm spell so destroy the roots and move quickly.

-The Chaos Bug is immune to fire but vunerable to everything else.

Attacks:

-Swipe attack: The Bed of Chaos just sweeps its big fan-like appendage across the arena. If you get hit by it you'll most likely get pushed around. It's fairly slow but all you can do is avoid it, it's too big to dodge. It'll either swipe then follow up with a pound attack that attacks the side it's arm is on or it'll perform two quick swipes, one after the other.

-When you destroy one of the roots, it'll free a fiery arm and start attacking you with that. It's got longer range than the slam attack and can hit you pretty much anywhere in the arena. When both cores are destroyed, it'll have both arms free so it's attack even more than it already does.

-Firestorm: This attack sucks, it'll stab a fiery arm into the floor, which causes circles of fire to appear randomly around the area. Don't be under them, or even close to them as they can be extremely damaging. These things always appear around your character when he pulls this attack out, so they can get you even when you're in the tunnel to the final weakspot.

-Fireball: it shoots at you with fireballs from its torso. Sometimes will do this while you're sliding down the entrance to the arena, making it impossible to avoid if you're unlucky. Otherwise it almost never pulls this out unless you linger at the starting area for a long time.

-Fire field: After making the jump where you're close to the entrance to the tunnel, hurry up and get inside, otherwise it can cast another spell that's a big fire barrier thing that can do big damage to you if you're still out there. Just get into the tunnel fast!
