Stray Demon

Strategy:

-Found in the Northern Undead Asylum, actually is the first enemy you see. He's in the large room beside the hallway where your cell is. You can come back to the Asylum by taking the bird and is the place you'll find the 'PECULIAR DOLL" which is found back in the cell you started out in. This doll is required to enter ANOTHER secret area called the "Painted World of Ariamis", which is accessed from the giant painting in the cathedral in Anor Londo.

-Can be accessed by walking through the center of the area where the Asylum demon was. The floor will crumble underneath you and drop you into a large dark dungeon area where the Stray demon is.

-This guy is very similar to the Asylum demon, just way WAY bigger, and with some extra magic attacks.

-Best bet, stay close to him and to the back. His swinging attacks will miss and staff slam attack will cause an explosion, but it only hits to his side and infront of him, so you'll be able to avoid it.

-Back fairly far off when he rises up into the air to do a butt slam attack like the Asylum demon, this one has a much bigger radius and does WAY more damage. If you can get behind him, then run back and follow up with a few attacks, as it takes him a while to do anything else after performing this attack.

-When he lifts his staff into the air then slams it into the ground, that means it's doing a big AOE attack that hits all around it. Get away if it does this!

-Cannot summon in the Northern Undead Asylum.

-Extremely weak to bleed effects.

Attacks:

-Swing attack: Swings its hammer staff thing twice infront of it. It tracks, but can be blocked. You can also roll through it.

-Smash attack: He performs a vertical attack, so dodge left or right. Sometimes follows up with a second smash.

-Jumping attack: If you're far away from it, it'll do this attack. Because of how much space it takes up, it's better to just start running away if you expect it'll do this or if you've got a good shield, block.

-Butt stomp: Floats into the air before slamming down. Just back off.

-Sweep explosion: Swings its weapon infront of it, which causes an explosion to go off. No backward hitbox, so if you're behind the demon you'll be okay.

-Hammer Explosion: Slams its hammer into the ground, causing a massive AOE attack. All magic damage, so back off. It's fairly well telegraphed, at least.
