The ladle is important to SL 1 because it's a good source of early ADP and with the peasant set it gets you up to 92 agility which is pretty workable. Also I used to get this weird feeling of being a poser when I used the ladle for its passive buff at SL 1 since I never did a ladle run, felt like the thing was mocking from my character's hip. But now I can wear the ladle with pride knowing I've actually done the dumbass run with it.

Anyhow, with najka and mytha I can really feel my damage being bad. It won't be until I upgrade to a better weapon and get flynn's ring that my damage will feel more workable.
