There is a way to avoid a ruler casting MegaRestore from an enemy if they have over approx. 10% health. When the ruler has low health, less than 1/3 they usually cast MegaRestore. They will also cast MegaRestore if you take too much health from them in round (over 50% from what I noticed). Basically when the ruler is has greater than 10% health you can go to the FILE and Overwrite a save (or maybe create a new one?) and then load from that same one to seemingly reset some sort of flag that tells them to use MegaRestore. Then the ruler will cast some offensive spell like they usually do when in good health.
