AL’s Counter offensive is a ,,damage-stress“ team, here are roles of characters:
1st: Flagellant (Gauntlet of Absolution + stress trinket) - DoT dealer
2nd: Man at arms (Spiked shield + accuracy trinket) - supporteer
3rd: Highwayman (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
4th: Houndmaster (dodge trinket + stress trinket) - stress dealer
PROS:
1) Mark synergy (Houndmaster + Highwayman)
2) Porcupine
3) Great stress output
3) Great DoT output
4) 2 guardians
CONS:
1) Marks are a menace
2) Stuns are a menace
3) Stress is a menace
AL’s Counter offensive is a damage team with great strenght of stress and DoT. You have 2 riposters, 2 guardians, mark synergy and 2 (self)healers. Sadly this team is vulnerable against mark and stress teams.
I tried to play a few strategies, like „full stress“, „mark team“, „the finishers“ and „porcupine“. I tried both variantions of Man at arms (damager / stresser), it’s better to stick with damage variantion. And also both variantion of Highwayman (bandit / gunslinger), both variantions are good.
My advice: Start with Highwayman for opening the riposte, next use Man at arms also for opening the riposte. If he’s as stresser, buff the team with skill „Bolster“. After this good choice to take Houndmaster and guard Flagellant. Lastly Flagellant for applying DoT.
When I started this challenge, I played very similiar team [Liberated Vidicators] and it was very hard to play. And now I had a chance to play them again with a little change in positions. This time the playing was fun. Only 1 lost match against darkest player in rematch. Really shame, that I didn’t found the original setup, really wanna try it. The real problem of this team is healing support. It’s fine, that you have 2 healers, but one heal only himself and one dazes himself. If your team falls to the death’s door, the chances of surviving are really low. And “mark team” strategy - isn’t that good. So… this is kinda mid.
