Serpent Root is a ,,damage-stress“ team, here are roles of characters:
1st: Shieldbreaker (dodge trinket + accuracy trinket) - DoT dealer
2nd: Crusader (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
3rd: Man at arms (protection trinket + accuracy trinket) - guardian
4th: Antiquarian (Tears of the Lost + dodge trinket) - stress dealer
PROS:
1) Great damage output
2) Great stress output
3) Great DoT output
4) Great healing potential
5) 2 disruptors
6) 2 guardians
CONS:
1) Stress is a menace
2) Marks are a menace
3) Stuns are a menace
Serpent Root is an odd damage team with great strength of stress and DoT. All characters can make AoE damage/stress, next you have 2 healers, 2 guardians and 2 disruptors. Sadly this team is vulnerable against mark and stress teams.
I tried to play a few strategies, like „support Crusader“, „mix damage + DoT“, „original setup“ and „full stress“. I tried both variantions of Man at arms (damager / stresser), both variantions are actually good.
My advice: Start with Man at arms for buffing the team OR guarding Antiquarian. Next use Antiquarian for regeneration spamming, then Crusader for stunning someone and lastly Shieldbreaker for disruption / dealing damage.
At the start I was a little bit skeptical, because you don’t have any synergies and the damage output isn’t too big. BUT you have some advantages, like 2 guardians or 2 healers. Even with disruption in your team, you can manage that and make a match victorious. I was very suprised, how went the matches against harder opponents. Very cool and nice! I like this team, unusual, but very fun to play! And the perfect score… just awesome! You’ve should try them too!
