Light up the Night is a ,,damage-stress“ team, here are roles of characters:
1st: Flagellant (Gauntlet of Absolution + damage trinket) - damage dealer
2nd: Man at arms (Protector’s Kite + stun resist trinket) - guardian
3rd: Highwayman (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
4th: Plague doctor (accuracy trinket + stress trinket) - stress dealer
PROS:
1) Porcupine
2) Great damage output
3) Great stress output
4) Great DoT output
5) 3 disruptors
CONS:
1) Stress is a menace
2) Marks are a menace
3) Stuns are a menace
Light up the Night is a nice damage team, that combines also stress and DoT. You have 3 disruptors, 2 riposters and 2 (self)healers. Sadly this team is vulnerable against mark and stress teams.
I tried to play a few strategies, like „the finishers“, „original setup“, „porcupine“ and „full stress“. I tried also both variantions of Man at arms (damager / stresser) and Plague doctor (damager / stresser), both variantions are good. And also Highwayman (bandit / gunslinger), it’s better to stick with bandit version.
My advice: Start with Highwayman for opening the riposte, next use Flagellant for applying DoT, then Man at arms for opening the riposte OR guarding someone. Lastly Plague doctor for dealing stress.
I was hoping to play this one day, and now I got a chance. This is… really nice team. The powerful duo riposters and duo fighters with DoT skills is great team advantage. Unfortunately the mark teams are dangerous for the team, you have only 1 guardian and nobody can remove marks (unless Flagellant with skill „Suffer“). I lost only once against novice player with strange stress team. It’s a shame, the „original setup“ was played against novice player, but still I think, you can manage, how could be played against harder opponents. And harder opponents… since they’re playing the same teams all the time, you can beat them easily. I like this team and recommend it!
