The Iron Triangle team is a ,,damage-stress“ team, here are roles of characters:
1st: Hellion (stress trinket + accuracy trinket) - stress dealer
2nd: Flagellant (Gauntlet of Absolution + accuracy trinket) - stress dealer
3rd: Abomination (damage trinkets) - stress dealer
4th: Man at arms (stun resist trinket + accuracy trinket) - supporteer
PROS:
1) Porcupine
2) Great damage output
3) Great stress output
4) Great DoT output
5) Great healing potential
6) 2 disruptors
CONS:
1) Marks are a menace
2) Stuns are a menace
3) Stress is a menace
4) DoT is a menace
The Iron Triangle is an odd stress team with great strength of DoT and pure damage. You have 3 (self)healers, 2 disruptors and 2 riposters. Sadly this team is vulnerable against mark and stress teams.
I tried to play a few strategies, like „mix damage + DoT“, „the finishers“, „original setup“ and „virtue team“. I tried also both variantions of Hellion (damager / stresser), both variantions are good.
My advice: Start with Abomination for opening the riposte, next use Hellion for debuffing the frontline, then Flagellant for applying DoT and lastly Man at arms for buffing the team.
This team is something. Firstly I lost twice against darkest players (one mark team, one DoT team - close call) and at the end of the set I lost against a champion player (mark team). You don’t have much chances to win these matches. Nice, that you have 2 riposters, but you can’t use them - only Abomination, because Man at arms‘ „Retribution“ can’t reached from 4th position. So use him as stresser-supporteer. And you have no idea, how happy I was while playing the 3rd match (original setup) against darkest player and won. Still, the team is not great honestly. As I above wrote, against mark teams you don’t have much chances, sometimes if your Flagellant is pushed to the backline, you lose the pressure. Kinda mid team, but it was very fun to play.
