Despair faction is a „damage-stress“ team, here are roles of characters:

1st: Hellion (accuracy trinket + damage trinket) - damage dealer
2nd: Abomination (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
3rd: Jester (dodge trinket + damage trinket) - deathblow dealer
4th: Antiquarian (Tears of the Lost + dodge trinket) - supporteer

PROS:
1) Great damage output
2) Great stress output
3) Great DoT output
4) Great healing potential
5) 2 deathblowers
6) Disruption isn’t a menace

CONS:
1) Marks are a menace
2) Stuns are a menace
3) DoT is a menace
4) Stress is a menace

Despair faction is a damage team with great strenght of stress and DoT. You have 3 (self)healers, 2 deathblowers and many ways for dealing stress and DoT. Unfortunately this team is weak against mark and stress teams.

I played a few strategies, like „virtue team“, „full stress“ and „mix damage + DoT“ and „the finishers“. I also tried both variantions of Hellion (damager / stresser) and Abomination (melee beast / DoT puker) - for both it’s better to stick with stress variantion.

My advice: Start with Abomination for opening the riposte, next use Jester for buffing the team, then Hellion for debuffing the frontline and lastly Antiquarian for regeneration.

The team isn’t that good, as it looks. Sure, you can make some pressure for opponent, but if he plays a based team, you don’t have much chances. I lost 3x - twice against darkest players with lame based teams and once against veteran player with a decent team. This was kinda… mid.
