You need to support your domain experts in “CRUDing” their complex data more efficiently via custom editors? You want to build a tool, but don't want to develop everything manually from scratch? Join this talk to learn how EMF Forms can assist you in developing form-based editors.

Tools for domain experts often require data-centric, form-based editors/tools. While EMF Forms targets forms in any general purpose application a particular focus of EMF Forms is on building domain-specific tools for technical experts. This includes typical engineering domains such as automotive, chip manufacturing, construction, but also complex domains such as financial services.

In this talk, we explain and demonstrate the capabilities of EMF Forms for such a use case. Using a typical example, we show you how you can, step by step, build up a domain specific editor and extend it with more advanced features. We include general EMF Forms features such as rule-based visibility, as well as recent developments such as advanced table support or two-step validation support. Finally, we show you how to adapt and extend EMF Forms to implement your specific requirements.

EMF Forms is an open source Eclipse project and continues to be one of the most actively developed frameworks at Eclipse.
